General Disciplinary Principles

  • All faculty and staff are expected to maintain high standards of honesty, integrity, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Employees must comply with institutional policies, directions of supervisors, and terms of employment.
  • Disciplinary action will be proportionate, fair, and follow due process.

Acts of Misconduct

The following acts are considered misconduct and may invite disciplinary action:

  • Chronic absenteeism or habitual late arrival
  • Breach of confidentiality or misuse of institutional data
  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination
  • Plagiarism or academic dishonesty
  • Insubordination or refusal to follow lawful instructions
  • Theft, fraud, or misappropriation of college property
  • Unauthorized use of institutional assets or name
  • Disruption of academic or administrative operations

Performance and Efficiency

  • Faculty and staff must meet the minimum expected standards of teaching, research, or assigned duties.
  • Persistent underperformance, poor student feedback, or failure to complete assignments without justification will be considered inefficiency.
  • Performance appraisals will be conducted annually and may be tied to contract renewal, increments, or promotions.
