Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Derived from UCPT’s Vision to develop “internationally recognized doctors of physical therapy” and Mission to cultivate “ethical practitioners and leaders in healthcare”

PLO 1: Clinical Excellence

  • Demonstrate advanced competency in evidence-based physical therapy assessment, diagnosis, and intervention across diverse patient populations (Musculoskeletal, Neurological, Cardiopulmonary, etc.).
  • Integrate HEC-mandated clinical skills (e.g., Manual Therapy, Electrotherapy) with innovative practices (AI in Healthcare) to optimize patient outcomes.

PLO 2: Academic & Research Leadership

  • Conduct original research aligned with HEC standards (Scientific Inquiry & Research Methods course) to address societal health challenges (UCPT Mission).
  • Publish in HEC-recognized journals and present findings at national/international forums.

PLO 3: Professional Ethics & Social Responsibility

  • Uphold integrity and compassion (UCPT Core Values) in patient care, adhering to HEC’s Code of Conduct for Healthcare Professionals.
  • Design community rehabilitation programs (Community Medicine & Rehabilitation course) to promote inclusivity (UCPT Vision on diversity).

PLO 4: Interdisciplinary Collaboration

  • Lead healthcare teams (Professional Practice in Healthcare course) with effective communication skills, reflecting UCPT’s emphasis on “reflective thinking and decision-making.”

PLO 5: Lifelong Learning

  • Engage in continuous professional development through HEC-recognized certifications (e.g., PALS, NDT) and UCPT-facilitated workshops.
