On September 27, 2024, the United College of Physical Therapy hosted a captivating Qawwali night featuring the renowned qawwal Jawwad Raza. The event drew a large audience, eager to experience the spiritual and musical richness of Sufi traditions.
As the evening unfolded, Jawwad Raza and his ensemble delivered soul-stirring performances, blending traditional melodies with contemporary flair. The atmosphere was electric, filled with clapping and heartfelt singing from the audience, creating a sense of community and shared joy.
The night highlighted not only the beauty of Qawwali music but also the cultural heritage it represents, leaving attendees with a profound sense of connection and reflection. This event was a memorable celebration of art and spirituality, underscoring the college’s commitment to promoting cultural activities within the community.
The Annual World Physical Therapy Day as celebrated by United College of Physical Therapy on 8th Sep, 2024 started with a flurry of excited mutters and activity. Our esteemed guest speaker .. spoke with the students about the importance of education for all classes of Pakistan. The very first Quiz Competition of UCPT hosted by Kiran Konain and Rohain Danish commenced with admirable participation by all batches of UCPT, and with their hard work and witty comments Team 2024 finally won the big prize. Through the expert hosting by Muskan Fatima and Anam Javed, the audience navigated through the various performances and presentations by all the students. A highlight of the day was the Career Counselling Session by Dr. Hira Saleem which the students listened to with apt interest. Overall the day ended with a huge success for all the involved participants and audience!
On September 5, 2024, the United College of Physical Therapy hosted an insightful seminar featuring Ms. Hira Saleem, a Chartered Physiotherapist with NHS Professionals in the United Kingdom. The session focused on “NHS Career: Challenges, Opportunities, and Advancement in Rehabilitation.”
Ms. Saleem shared her experiences and expertise, addressing the various pathways within the NHS and the challenges faced by physiotherapists in a dynamic healthcare environment. Attendees engaged in discussions about career advancement and the evolving landscape of rehabilitation practices. The seminar not only inspired students and faculty but also provided valuable insights into building successful careers in Physical Therapy
The Health and Wellness Expo held at the Pearl Continental Hotel on September 4th and 5th, 2024, showcased the vibrant participation of students and faculty from the United College of Physical Therapy. Engaging in various activities, they highlighted the importance of physical health and well-being through interactive workshops, demonstrations, and informative sessions. The event fostered a spirit of collaboration and learning, emphasizing the college’s dedication to promoting holistic health in the community.
Faces shining with excitement and plenty of sunscreen, the students of UCPT arrived upon the massive grounds of Dreamworld Resort Park. Through out the area, the screams of students descending upon the twists and turns of the many slides could be heard, along with the laughter of the ones sitting astride horses. Bowling, archery, numerous pools, boating; you name it we did it! And with notes of contentment and merriment in the crowd, the day ended on a splendid note with a boat-load of memories to carry back home.

Dr. Rana Siddiqui, a Rehabilitation Consultant from the Ministry of Health, Ontario, Canada, delivered a comprehensive seminar at United College of Physical Therapy on “Career Advancement and Challenges in Physical Rehabilitation.” She expertly navigated through the complexities of building a successful career, emphasizing opportunities both within Pakistan and abroad. Dr. Siddiqui provided invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities awaiting physical therapists in Pakistan, while also shedding light on the prospects of practicing overseas, particularly in Europe. Moreover, she delved into various postgraduate fields available for aspiring therapists, offering a roadmap for professional growth and specialization. Her guidance was both practical and empowering, equipping attendees with the knowledge needed to excel in the field of physical therapy, regardless of geographic boundaries.
The orientation day for the DPT class of 2028, at United College of Physical Therapy was a well-organized and informative event for our young candidates. The faculty, led by Principal welcomed the new students cordially. They presented an overview of the program structure, curriculum, and facilities to the students. Interactive sessions held by respectable dignitaries and professors helped students familiarize themselves with college policies, academic expectations, and extracurricular opportunities. Overall, it set a positive tone for the upcoming academic year, fostering a sense of belonging and excitement among the incoming cohort.
The White Coat Ceremony for the DPT Class of 2028 at United College of Physical Therapy was a delightful affair, brimming with anticipation and pride. As students donned their crisp of white coats, the air met with excitement and the promise of their journey ahead. Dr. Bilal Faiz Khan, Dean and Dr Erum Tanveer, Principal of UCPT imparted words of wisdom and ignited a passion for excellence within the students. With each coat symbolizing professionalism and commitment, the ceremony marked the beginning of a transformative chapter in the future physical therapists’ lives. It was a momentous occasion filled with hope, camaraderie, and a shared determination to make a difference in the world of healthcare.
Session of Martial Arts and self-defense was held at United College of physical Therapy, conducted by the AMA academy of martial arts on 17th October, 2023.
Undoubtedly, the extended display of self-defense tactics was the session’s high point. Students were exposed to the plethora of self-defense maneuvers under their guidance, this thorough approach was especially impressive since it let the attendees see how adaptable and practical martial arts are in everyday circumstances. The instructors’ expertise was clear as they expertly explained the procedures while highlighting the significance of control and precision.
One of the most noticeable features were the session’s interactive nature. The educators promoted active engagement from the students, fostering a welcoming and stimulating learning atmosphere.
The learning experience was made more enjoyable by the hands-on approach by the students, which also made sure that the participants had a practical understanding of the skills demonstrated. This consequently greatly increased the confidence of our students in using these self-defense techniques if necessary. It was an exceptional and informative event and provided a comprehensive overview of self-defense techniques while instilling the values of respect and discipline. The skilled instructors and the interactive nature of the session contributed to its immense success.
